SEASIDE
POLICE ACTIVITIES LEAGUE (PAL)
The
Seaside Police Activities League (PAL) is a juvenile crime prevention
program designed to provide athletic, recreational and educational
opportunities for at-risk youth and to reinforce responsible values
and respect. Such respect is beneficial to the youth, police officers,
our neighborhoods and the business community. Seaside PAL is comprised
of police officers, volunteers and police personnel who serve
as coaches, mentors, instructors and role models. Their devoted
dedication and time is a vital essence in hopes of enhancing a
brighter future for our youth.
Seaside
PAL was incorporated in February 2001. MPUSD & City of Seaside
Parks & Recreation Dept support PAL by providing facilities
for its programs. Local businesses and individuals donate their
time, money and resources to help make Seaside PAL successful.

This
event included PAL kids from as far as Las Vegas and Oregon
. Once at the stadium, all Jr Giants players did a parade
through the baseball field. The kids thought this was the
coolest. Before the game started they announced all the
different cities that were there and then a representative from
each group walked the bases and their names were announced along
with the city they played for.

The
kids had a great day and the chaperones did a great job.
